User XXX ( Employee Responsible ) is NOT a business Partner error in SAP CRM
User XXX is not a business partner is a very common error for all new students doing SAP CRM Training.
The fix to this problem is pretty simple – Just create a BP with a role “Employee” and in the transaction [BP]. Here are the steps.
Step 1 : Go to Tcode [BP] and create a new business partner (BP ) of type ‘Person’ .
Step 2 : Select the BP role ‘Employee’ and then enter the name and address
Step 3 : After entering the name and address details, go to the ‘Identification’ tab and enter your SAP User Name in the ‘User Name’ field of the Employee data section.
Why are we doing these steps ?
In SAP CRM Partner Determination procedure, typically the employee responsible will be defaulted to the current user. However, in order to map the current user name a BP should be created corresponding to the SAP User ID. You could ideally disable that particular partner function in the Partner Determination Procedure, but since this a very useful feature, we would rather learn it.
