Ilana
Let’s discuss this in the class then.
Thank you. I have also had this issue.
Created Sales Order 13873. Was able to save but not deliver. Incompletion log says Shipping Point needs to be completed.
Dana
I fixed this order. The shipping point determination was not made. In order to fix this, we need to understand shipping point determination in SAP . Don’t worry about this yet. Go ahead and process this order further. After may be class 20 or 25, you can start looking into shipping point determination.
Siva,
If you can provide correct answers that would help us. Especially for Inco Terms and Partner Functions.
Thanks
cannot save an order: requires Shipping Point/Receivi to be populated and there are no values in the field

If you have created your own Customer Account Group, then the corresponding Partner Determination should also be done.

Siva,
Can you please throw some light on the following “Partial Deliveries” fields (in terms of their relevance at a Sales Order Header level…vs…Sales Order Line level?
Complete delivery reqd by law – Is this at a Header level (applicable to the whole order)? What if this is checked, but not enough inventory is going to be available to ship the entire order…such as for example, the end of a Diwali shipping season when the company is down to the last few units, and doesn’t plan to make any more of a certain product? Can the order not be shipped at all?
Partial delivery per item, Max. partial deliveries, and the Tolerance fields – The way I understand it, these are specific to each Line Item on the order, i.e., these don’t apply to the order as a whole…..Is my understanding correct?
Partial Deliveries is NOT a field, rather an SAP norm. The way to over-ride it is by using “Complete Delivery” either at the Customer master level or at the Sales Order Level.
Partial Deliveries Scenarios could be any of the following .
1. Split Deliveries
2. Partial Quantities per line item being delivered
3. Partial Line Items ( among the entier list ) being delivered ( You can call this as split deliveries also )
Maximum partial deliveries is to ensure that the system doesnt break up a delivery into too many deliveries which can cause logistics issues for customers. It applies to the entire order.
Tolerances can apply at the header level only ( since they are a customer choice, hence at the customer master level )
Let’s discuss this in the class.
Siva, Nice Exercises. Thank you.

Siva,
I created customer 821 with 3000-01-00. The 00 division is the only one that
works. Others eg 3000-01-01 comes back with error saying 3000 01 01 is not defined for customers.
I went ahead with the working one and created cust 821.
Now when creating the order, error message saying Sales area 3000 01 00 doesn’t
exist.
I can feel it, I am close but no champagne!!
Can we look at it in the class?

Yes Lukesh. You have to add the sales person. The reason behind asking that question is to illustrate the fact that more partners can be added to the txn on the fly.
We will know more about this in the SAP Partner Function Determination
Are Incoterms relevant here? ABC corp and Ehsan Shah are domestic
BtoB partners. Would leaving it blank be OK in this case?
Hi I am interested in doing sap crm could you please elaborate the thing
How can I delete a Customer master I created?
Siva,
Are we expected to do the Customer master exercise as given above?
I do not see 3000 sales organization, should I create it myself?
-Ravi
Sales Org 3000 does exist. Which question in specific are you talking abt ?
Dear SIva,
I have been trying to work on this exercise all night and am confused wether we
are even ready for this based on what we covered.
I got to the point of creating the customer EH Shah (812) and struggling to
setup shipping conditions and billing terms. Do we have to go to IMG and configure these for Eh Shah particularly?
Another problem I came across is -
after I created the customer with VD01, to extend it, I had to FD-02.
FD-01 on 812 customer resulted in “customer already exists” error.
Please help.

am getting order is complete maintain the order.
Hi
14522 – Sample order created for that customer/ material combination. Check out the full cycle – It has been delivered billed and posted to accounts. There were a couple of elements missing
1. The customer 7007 was created for country India and corresponding Pricing procedure has been assigned wrongly.
2. PR00 pricing was not maintained for customer 7007 and hence prices were not coming up
3. Stock was not available to do PGI.
Fixes done
1. Customer country changed to Germany so that the pricing procedure RVAA01 kicks in with the right MWST tax condition type.
2. Created entries for PR00 using VK11
3. Use MB1C to create stock entries.
Please let me know if you have any questions on the same and let’s discuss in the class if required.

sir,
I am still having problems with delivery. I am getting order is incomplete.i have tried all the three possbilites which u have mentioned before but still having the same error. i am stuck here from long time. can you please let me know where exactly i am doing wrong?
Hi Siva,
After going through your master data recorded video, i find out that in creating master data using FD01 transaction code, you used 1000 as company code.
Please how did you come about 1000 since the only place i noticed you using that figure is S/Org.?
This is the core of my problem as i tried to create master data using same transaction code.
Hi
I don’t understand the question. What did you mean by “How did you come about 1000″ ..? Can you please give more details or step by step instructions to replicate the problem ?
In the company code field, you filled in 1000. How did you come about it? Did you assume an arbitrary figure?
No. I know it from enterprise structure that company code 1000 is assigned to sales org 1000. Remember the Enterprise Structure class ?

Please give the Customer #.
its 77777…
which account group shud i take while creating a customer master…
Choose Customer Account Group 0001 for now. There is a post in the Customer master section on the importance of Customer Account Group and how to create your own based on custom requirements.
The account group that you have selected in Z001 which has a custom partner determination procedure. That partner det. Procedure does not have SE as the partner function and hence you were not able to create it. As discussed below, please choose the Customer Account Group 0001 for now.

Hi Siva Sir,
I have created a customer 11221……….But I could not define commission for mr Adam

Zahid Abbas.
Zahid
Commissions are not defined directly in the customer master. The question asks to create a Sales Employee to be created as a partner function in the customer master. The word commission was given here so that you can understand the final purpose behind the customer master. Remember the stakeholder discussion in the class ?
Now in order to answer the question, open the customer master in change mode and go to sales area view and click on Partner functions tab and enter the new partner function “SE” and enter the name of the sales employee by picking any name – say Dominik Adam

Scenario 1 : A Sales executive ( Julie ) at Company ABC Inc wants to create a new domestic, commercial customer based in SAP on a new order she got from him for a Pump. The name of the Customer is “Eshaan Shah” and he needs to be created within the US Sales Organization ( 3000 ) . We are performing a direct sale to him. Ehsaan resides at 1000 Denise Dr, Edison, NJ. The customer requested that if possible we can combine multiple orders together to save him money on shipments. The customer also said that he will pick-up any shipments from our warehouse to avoid paying for freight. The customer prefers that we ship all the goods related to a single order in a single package if possible because, he does not want to receive multiple shipments for a single order and confuse himself. Since the customer is going to do potentially do multiple orders in a single week, he has requested that we bill him as one invoice for the entire month as opposed to individual invoices. Since the customer is going to pick-up right from the plant, choose the right inco-terms. The customer chooses to pay like this – Pay the net due within 60 days. However, if he wishes to pay early, the company ABC Inc wishes to give him the following discounts – 3% Cash discount if paid within 14 days and 1% cash discount if paid within 30 days. Hi Siva,
Q7 – We were able to see the order’s revenue only from Customer Master ( Sales Area Data–>Billing documents–>Accounting)
Could you please advise how to find it in Sales order?
Alfred
The question was related to finding out the revenue bucket the customer belongs to. This is basically determined by “Customer Account Assignment group” in SAP Customer Master. You can find the same in the Customer master or in the SAP Sales Order. Since this is related to the customer master, the answer to Q.7 is to list the Customer Account Assignment Group from the SAP Customer Master.
If you were to find out the same from the Sales order, you can find it out from the ‘Accounting’ tab in the SAP Sales Order Header. The actual final G/L Account is based on Revenue Account Determination which we have not seen yet in the class.

Hi Siva,
Based on the Scenario, We have created a customer master # 5566 and we weren’t able to add the Sales Employee & Commission details in the Customer Master.
Could you please advise us the route path on how to add the Sales Employee Info?
Alfred
In order to add the Sales Employee, first you have to find out what the partner function for Sales Employee is. If you look at all the PFs ( Partner Functions ), you will find a partner Function by name ‘SE’ – Sales Employee. Add SE as a partner function and in the corresponding number field , click on the search-help and select the right sales employee using first name, last name.

1. You tried to open the SAP Customer # 47859 in a sales area for which you did not create it. Can you please let me know the Sales Area ( Sales Organization, Distribution Channel, Division ) you tried to open the Customer in VD02 ?
– The best solution to this is to first enter the Customer # 47859 and click on the button – “Customer’s Sales Area” and SAP would display the list of sales areas that this customer has been created in. In this case, the customer is created in the sales area 1000/10/00. Select the right sales area ( double click the corresponding row ) to move forward.
1a. yes, you have to follow the step above to ensure that you are opening the customer in the right sales area. For example, if a Customer is being created for the US Sales Org, does it make any sense to open that customer in India Sales Org..? The system would not allow it, because, the customer has not been created/extended to the India sales org and the SAP system does not contain India Sales Org/area specific information.
1b. The sales office 1000 has not been defined for Sales Area 3000/01/01. This message has been issued because, you are trying to assign the sales office to the customer in the wrong sales area. In order to check this out for yourself, go to Enterprise Structure and checkout if the sales office 1000 has been assigned to the sales area 3000/01/01
1c. Tax classification is created by your SAP FICO consultant. We have very minimal say in it. As SAP SD Consultants, we just use the Tax classification in the Customer Master. For now, it suffices to understand the basic tax classifications in SAP – ( 0 for Tax Emempt and 1 for Tax Liable ).
2. Yes ideally. But over a period of time you get used to it. The other easier way is to go to the company code field right in the customer change/display transaction and click on the search help and select by customer Number. So, for Customer Number 1400, open in display mode/change mode, select the right sales area ( via “Customer’s Sales area” ) and then select the Search Help for Company Code and Enter the SAP Customer Number 1400 there. The system will display all the company codes that that customer has been created in. In our case – 1000. Let’s discuss this further in the class.
3. You have NOT created the Sales Area for the Customer Master # 347859 and #347860. Let’s discuss this in the class tomorrow.
Good job in taking your time and answering the questions. Keep posting and keep discussing.
